[dropcap2]No[/dropcap2] conference would be complete without a social program that allows delegates to network outside the confines of PowerPoint presentations.
The 2013 HFCC will offer a comprehensive social program highlighted by a welcoming cocktail reception from 5pm on Wednesday 13 February. The reception will take place in the famous watercourt plaza, located right outside the Omni Hotel and will feature light refreshments and canapes and will commence with a book signing from Drs. Kirp and Sanders who will be on hand throughout the duration of the welcome function.
On February 14, the HFCC will celebrate in style with a special, Valentine’s Day, conference dinner. Delegates will be invited to unwind and connect with international friends and colleagues while enjoying the delightful food and beverage package included. The gala dinner will take place in the Ballroom of the Omni Hotel.

Before or after the conference (or during any spare time) delegates are invited to explore the many sights and sounds of LA!
Los Angeles is alive with non-stop excitement, culture, diversity, art and of course, entertainment. The 2013 HFCC puts you near everything – including the STAPLES Center, the LA Live Complex and the Los Angeles Convention Center. From museums and theme parks to the rich and famous, L.A. has a culture all its own. Cheer on one of several professional sports teams or tour Universal Studios Hollywood to get a behind-the-scenes look at how movies are made.
Discover the charm of downtown’s neighborhoods such as Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Olvera Street and Koreatown. Rub elbows with the stars on Rodeo Drive, go celebrity watching at a trendy Hollywood restaurant or compare your handprints to theirs outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. With so much to choose from, the City of Angels is a can’t-miss destination – and the Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza is your perfect L.A. home.
